Nic Herring-Harman


Michael “Nic” Herring-Harman is thrilled to be with the Gateway Percussion group this year and is grateful for the opportunity to work with the other inspiring percussion and visual staff.

Nic began his dance training at Motivation 2 Dance in Indianapolis, IN and continued training and performing with the Anderson Young Ballet Theatre and Ball State Dance Theatre while receiving his degree in Dance Performance from Ball State University.

Nic was recently given the opportunity to train and perform as a member of the iLuminate (“As seen on TV”) Dance Company in Atlanta, GA touring throughout the US and overseas. During the spring of 2011, Nic’s Senior Choreography piece “Lingering Desperation,” was chosen for the Gala Performance at the Indiana Dance Festival in Fort Wayne, IN. In the summer 2010, Nic was able to study and perform at the 6-week American Dance Festival in Durham, NC while on artistic scholarship.

Nic is currently the Dance Program Director at Lafayette Jefferson High School in Lafayette, IN where he works and choreographs for the Dance Team, Dance classes, Marching Band, Fall Musical, and Choir ensembles, as well as numerous Master Classes and Workshops throughout the Greater Indianapolis area.
