We are excited to announce that Amanda Petersen—former member (2006-2008), Front Ensemble instructor (2011-2012) and Front Ensemble Coordinator (2013-2015)—will serve as Gateway Indoor's Assistant Director for the 2016 season. Amanda will bring her invaluable leadership qualities, professional organizational skills, and world-class pageantry arts knowledge to the operations team, playing a key role in Gateway's success this upcoming season.
Amanda Petersen is a native of Collierville, Tennessee. She started marching with Memphis Sound Drum & Bugle Corps in 2004 and 2005 and continued her career with the Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corps from 2006 to 2008. She worked with Forte Drum & Bugle Corps in 2010 and served on the administrative team at Carolina Crown in 2011. Amanda currently teaches at the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps, where she has been since 2012.
In addition to marching Gateway in 2006 through 2008, Amanda has also performed with Rhythm X in 2010. She has been an active front ensemble instructor for numerous high schools throughout St. Louis (MO), Atlanta (GA), Memphis (TN) and Dayton (OH). The groups she has worked with include George W. Mason, Bellbrook and Collierville High School. She currently works with Rockwood Summit High School and St. Charles West High School during the marching band season.
