Join the 2018 Arch Crew
"Gateway Percussion is seeking capable, motivated volunteers for a number of roles during the 2018 season. The Gateway operations team has an active presence both at and outside of rehearsal. Most work happens independently or in small teams using online communication tools. All volunteers are encouraged to attend monthly Operations meetings, as well as weekly "huddle" calls to ensure everyone on the team is armed with the right information to be great at their job. At the end of the day, an organization is only as successful as its people make it – so come join us to create something great together!"
– Paul Richardson, Co-Founder, Executive Director
Every week, there are hundreds of details that need to be ironed out to make the group successful. We are looking for a dynamic individual to work as a representative of the administration team. This person will work closely with the other directors of the group.
*This is a St. Louis-based position
Social Media Specialist:
Maintaining Gateway's online presence is one of the most important things we do. Whether it's on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat or whatever comes next–we will be there, delivering original Gateway content to 13,000+ followers made up of fans, alumni, parents and more. If you’re constantly plugged in and fascinated with the ever-changing world of digital media, we'd love to talk to you!
Content is king. We are always on the lookout for those who love to be behind the camera. Great video and still shots are both in demand. Most of the filming is done on the weekends during rehearsal and at performances (both locally and at out-of-town regionals). The Photo/Video Specialist will work with the Social Media Specialist to coordinate the content delivery schedule on social media and the website. Whether you want to come out every weekend or just a couple of times during the season, we're in!
The finances of a not-for-profit are not very complicated as small businesses go, but they do need a steady hand to consistently be accurate and up-to-date. The bookkeeper position will average 30-90 minutes of work a week–after some initial setup–and will be responsible for balancing the books, maintaining a balance sheet, and provide budget-based reporting. If you’re looking for a unique experience and ready to put your Excel and math skills to the test, let us know!
It takes a village to raise to a drumline. Our village is expanding and we’re looking for someone to help keep track of it all. On top of the official operations team, we have a ton of alumni, relatives, and fans who want to stay in touch and help when they can. If you like to communicate with fellow lovers of the arts, email us today.
Getting the group safely down the road is one of the most important things we do. If you have weekend availability and are comfortable driving large vehicles, please reach out. We would love to speak with you.
Gateway’s primary product is the experience of our members. We want to find someone focused solely on our members’ success, not just in the arts, but in life itself. While this position is part-paperwork wrangler and part-event planner, this coordinator would also be involved with checking in on the mental and physical health of the performers throughout the season. If you want to make a direct difference in the lives of our young performers, please reach out.
Board of Directors:
We are assembly a new board of directors this season to act as a governing body for the organization. We're looking for Business Leadership experience and a desire to groom the next generation of leaders. If you are interest in becoming a board member for a St. Louis not-for-profit, please contact us today.
