A recent transfer to St. Louis, Aaron is thrilled to join the Gateway team for the 2019 season. He
has been a marching percussion technician throughout the Midwest and Southeast for roughly
a decade, working with groups such as Carmel High School, Decatur Central High School,
Eastern Kentucky University, and most recently The University of Alabama as the front
ensemble director and arranger. Aaron was working towards a Doctorate of Musical Arts in
percussion at Alabama, while maintaining an active performance schedule as a soloist and a
member of ensembles such as the Chamber Cartel, the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, and
Trio der Kinderspiel – an improvisational percussion trio.

His musical endeavors have brought Aaron to be featured as a guest artist throughout the
country and in Brazil, Belgium, and Taiwan. Following the completion of his Master’s degree in
Kentucky, Aaron served on the faculty at Eastern Kentucky University as the Visiting Professor
of Percussion for the 2013-14 academic year. While at EKU, Aaron taught the percussion
ensembles (Western, African, Brazilian), Steel Band, private lessons, Percussion Methods, Music
Appreciation, and directed the New Music Ensemble.

As an improviser, Aaron has toured the Midwest extensively, performing in the quirkiest art
galleries, warehouses, and basements you can find. He released his 2nd solo album, Guidance, in
the summer of 2017 and is set to release the next, Terminal, in late 2018. All his sounds can be
